Firefigther Billy Skinner began his career as a firefighter with the Carrollton Fire Department in November of 1987.  He soon became a driver/engineer and earned the rank of Lieutenant in 1990.  His first year of service was on Ladder #21 and the remainder of his career has been on an Engine Company. 

Firefighter Skinner is a Georgia State Certified Fire Officer/Firefighter, National Professional Qualified HAZ/MAT Operations, National Registry EMT and has training in emergency vehicle operations. 

He also has training in air bag and automobile safety systems, special supplemental inflatable restraint systems, pre-hospital management of traumatic brain injuries, CPR and emergency cardiac care, emergency response to radiological transportation accidents and radiological waste isolation pilot programs.
