Dave graduated from Haralson County High School in 1999.  He began his firefighting career in 1999 with the Haralson County Fire Department, serving as a fire officer.  He moved to the Carrollton Fire Department in 2001. 

He is a certified firefighter, a Georgia EMT, and a HAZ/MAT Technician with the West Georgia Regional HAZ/MAT Team. 

Dave attends the Georgia Fire Academy, obtaining certificates in Structural Fire Control, Pump Service Testing, and Practical Fire Ground Hydraulics. 

He is a member of the Georgia State Firefighters Association, as well as an active member of the Corinth Baptist Church in Buchanan.
