Chief Bearden began his career as a firefighter
with the Carrollton Fire Department in 1980.
Working his way through the ranks, he was
appointed to the fire Chiefs position in
February of 2004. Chief Bearden is a state
certified firefighter, National Registry
EMT,
HAZ/MAT
Technician, State Certified Fire Instructor,
Public Fire Safety Educator Instructor, and a
CPR Instructor.
He has received management or specialized
training through the Georgia Fire Academy, West
Central Technical College, Carins Training
programs, Sassi Training systems, Georgia
Emergency Management Agency and many in-service
and local schools.
Chief Bearden has received many certifications
and hours of training in Fire control, Rescue
operations, Extrication, Mass Medical Incidents
and Triage, Incident Command, Fire Service
Management,
HAZ/MAT
mitigation and a host of
District Fire Schools and specialty classes.
