Mitch Golden


Firefighter Golden began his career as a firefighter with the Haralson county fire department, as a volunteer firefighter. He later joined the Bremen Fire Department as a professional firefighter in 1995. He joined the Carrollton fire department in 1997. He currently serves as a firefighter on engine #21. 

Some of Mitch’s achievements include, Georgia State Firefighters, National Professional HAZ/MAT Technician, National Registry EMT, and CPR/First aid Instructor. 

Mitch also has related training in emergency vehicle operations, radiological emergency response, crash victim extrication, waste isolation pilot plan (radiological waste), ladder truck relief driver, engine relief driver, and pre-hospital management of traumatic brain injuries. 

Mitch also works full time as an EMT for Ambu Care Ambulance service, and is a member of the West Georgia Regional HAZ/MAT team. 

Mitch is a native of Haralson County and a 1991 graduate of Haralson County High School. Prior to his career as a firefighter, he earned a diploma from West Central Technical College as a certified machinist. 

Mitch was raised in Haralson County by his parents, Waylen and Mildred Golden. Mitch is married to his wonderful wife Julie.
