Lieutenant Daniel began his career as a firefighter with the Carrollton Fire Department in 1993. He was promoted to the rank of Driver/Engineer in 1996 and to Lieutenant on September 6, 2005. 

Lieutenant Daniel is a Georgia State Certified Firefighter, Georgia Certified EMT, National Professional Qualified HAZ/MAT Technician and has training in emergency vehicle operations. 

Steve has certifications in structural fire control, pressurized container fire control, arson detection for the first responder, radiological emergency response, pre-hospital management of traumatic brain injury, and waste isolation pilot program (radiological). 

Lieutenant is a native of Bowdon Georgia and a 1984 Graduate of Bowdon High School. He is a member of the West Georgia Regional HAZ/MAT team and the Georgia State Firefighters Association.
