Firefighter Bumgarner began his career as a firefighter with Carroll County Fire/Rescue in 1994. He joined the Carrollton Fire Department in 2000 as a fulltime professional firefighter. 

Tim is a Georgia State Certified Firefighter, National Registry EMT, National Professional Qualified HAZ/MAT Technician, and has training in emergency vehicle operations. He also has training in pre-hospital management of traumatic brain injuries, crash victim extrication, radiological emergency response, waste isolation pilot programs (radiological), and street sense approach to infectious disease control. 

Firefighter Bumgarner also has an extensive knowledge of Fire apparatus repair and maintenance, Hale fire pump repair and operation, and diesel engine repair. 

Tim was born a native of North Carolina and moved to Carrollton in 1994. He is a member of the Georgia State Firefighters association and West Georgia Regional HAZ/MAT Team.
