Firefighter Perry began his career as a
firefighter with the Carrollton Fire Department
on April 15, 1996.
Some of Wendell’s qualifications include Georgia
State Certified Firefighter, National Registry
EMT, HAZ/MAT Operations and Public Fire Safety
Educator.
Wendell also has training in emergency vehicle
operations, Ladder Truck and Engine relief
driver, CPR/First Aid, Fire Safety Symposiums,
basic structural fire control, emergency
response to terrorism, radiological waste
isolation pilot plan, emergency response to
radiological transportation accidents and
pre-hospital management of traumatic brain
injuries.
Firefighter Perry is a member of the Georgia
State Firefighters Association and West Georgia
Regional HAZ/MAT Team.
Prior to becoming a firefighter Wendell worked
at the Southwire Company for 20 years. He and
his wife, Avva, have been married since August
of 1974 and have two daughters, Jessica and
Amanda.
