Perry Recieves SAR Recognition

Recently Firefighter Wendell Perry was nominated for and received recognition from the Sons of the American Revolution Civic Group for his outstanding job performance. The Sons of the American Revolution annually recognizes members of public safety for their efforts during the previous year and this year the Carrollton Fire Department was proud to nominate FF Perry.

Hazardous Material Technician Class

The West Georgia Regional Hazmat Team received a boost in personel this week. Twenty five students, from three agencies, completed the Hazardous Materials Technician class which will increase the total number of Technicians that the Team can call on. This class, taught by the Georgia Fire Academy, is a 48 hour class that teaches team members advanced techniques such as product identification, confinement techniques, chemical protective clothing, and various other skills.
